The exhibition “Who Is in the Garden” fills the Türi Cultural Centre with textile artworks that reflect the gardener’s year in all its richness, engaging with themes of growth, cultivation, and the gardener’s sensibility.

The works radiate a sense of responsibility for those in one’s care, admiration and passion for observing their development, and joy in the ripening of fruits and the blooming of flowers. Alongside these come moments of unpredictability — night frosts, thunderstorms, and the changing of seasons, from the colorful exuberance of blossoms to the snow-covered ground.

The inhabitants of the garden, as well as the gardeners themselves, are not left unnoticed.

The exhibition “Who Is in the Garden” is enriched by the contrasts created through the juxtaposition of artists. The theme unfolds across multiple layers: the garden as a source of inspiration and a bounded oasis; as a field of tension between order and chaos; as a community and a meeting place; and as both an opportunity and a responsibility.

Participating artists include: Reena Curphey, Ainikki Eiskop, Ehalill Halliste, Sigrid Huik, Ülle Järv, Elna Kaasik, Mariann Kallas, Heli Kelt, Kadi Kibbermann, Krista Leesi, Epp Mardi, Lylian Meister, Piret Mikk, Marin Nooni, Aet Ollisaar, Ene Pars, Erika Pedak, Liis Pihlik, Tiina Puhkan, Liisi Pääsuke, Ülle Raadik, Anu Raud, Tuuli Reinsoo, Merike Roodla, Merle Roosimölder, Ilme Rätsep, Ülle Saatmäe, Kirill Safonov, Eve Selisaar, Zane Shumeiko, Malle-Maria Sild, Heleri Alexandra Sits, Ludmilla Swarczewskaja, Anneli Säre, Aune Taamal, Reet Talimaa, Erika Tammpere, Anne Tootmaa, Ilja Uhlinov, Piret Valk, and Kerttu Varik.
